Tons of cooling

A competitor bid 25 tons of cooling.

The load calculation said 9.

That is the difference between a guess and a Manual J.

From a Google review by Donovan D., a repeat client: “They have also kept us from over sizing equipment in every case.”

How it works

Plans in. Permit docs out.

No software to learn and no portal to fight. Email and a phone number that gets answered.

01

Send the plans

A dimensioned floor plan is enough to start. Elevations and wall sections help. No plans? A sketch and photos work.

02

Same-day quote

We reply fast, usually within 30 minutes during business hours, and send a short questionnaire for the details.

03

We design

ACCA-certified designers run the calculations and ask questions when something on the plans does not add up.

04

Submit with confidence

You receive clear, permit-ready reports by email. If the reviewer has questions, we answer them.

What you receive

Reports a plan reviewer can read in one pass.

Clean, complete and formatted for review. Your installer gets numbers they can build to.

  • Room-by-room heating and cooling loads
  • Equipment selection checked against real performance data
  • Duct layout with sizes and airflow per register
  • Every assumption stated, so nothing surprises the reviewer

We had a new residential build about 3900 sq’. We called several places and nobody got back to us. Our first call to them they picked up, I explained the situation, they sent me the questionnaire and were quick to help us walk through the entire form patiently. Once we had all the info filled out they had the Manual J back to us within a day.

Prompt, thorough Manual J calculations from our architect's plans. I'd tried complex calculations with online spreadsheets but had no confidence in my results. Very timely follow-up. All for reasonable fee.

FAQ

Straight answers.

What services do I need?

For a replacement, a Manual J makes sure the new system is sized properly, and Manual S matches the equipment to it. On any new system we recommend Manual D so every room gets the air it needs. Energy calculation requirements vary by state and county, and we will help you determine yours.

What do I need to send you?

A dimensioned floor plan, plus elevations and wall sections if you have them. We send a short project questionnaire for the rest. If you are unsure of a detail, we have documented defaults we can use to keep the project moving.

How fast is turnaround?

Quotes are same-day, and we aim to answer every inquiry within 30 minutes during business hours. Turnaround depends on the project and our current volume. Rush service is available when you are up against a permit deadline. Ask when you send your plans.

How much does it cost?

Every project is different, so we quote each one. Send your plans and you will have a quote the same day.

Does your work follow ACCA standards?

Yes. Our designers are ACCA certified, and every calculation follows ACCA Manuals J, S, D, N, T and Q as applicable.

Where do you work?

Anywhere in the United States. We are a remote, family-owned firm based in Lancaster, Kentucky, and every designer is US-based. Our work is never outsourced overseas.
